Welcome to our new Shopify online store

When I started Whistler Woodcraft four years ago I had no idea where it would take me.  Because I spent so much time in tech and considered myself fairly tech-savvy, my first website was a home-built info page.

I eventually built an entire e-commerce site using WordPress for the site and WooCommerce for the e-commerce engine.  I did all my own domain management, site management and security.

As the business grew and I had less and less time to spend building and running my own site, I realized that it was time to step up and commit to a proper web site. Security was the last straw.  Over the years the number and severity of attacks on my site increased, and I finally realized this was not something that I could do on my own.

So now I am migrating my site to to the Shopify e-commerce platform.

Please bear with me as we build this site.  With the new platform comes a new look and a need for new photography and product descriptions.  I'm working my way through this, but with the holiday season coming up it look like it will be a while until the move is completed.

With new products always coming up a site like this is a never-ending process.  It's all part of being an artisan and I wouldn't trade it for anything!
